Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: March 2026

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all reservations made directly with Lion Guard Guest House (PTY) LTD through our website, telephone, email, WhatsApp, or approved booking platforms.

1. Reservation Deposit

To secure a reservation, a 30% non-refundable deposit of the total booking amount is required.

Reservations are confirmed only once the deposit has been received.

2. Payment Methods

All prices are quoted in Lesotho Loti (LSL).

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Credit and debit cards
  • Bank transfers
  • Cash payments
  • Mobile payment services including M-Pesa Lesotho and EcoCash Lesotho where available.

3. Cancellation Policy

Guests may cancel reservations according to the following terms:

  • Cancellations made 7 days or more before the check-in date may qualify for a refund of the amount paid excluding the 30% non-refundable deposit.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival are not eligible for a refund.
  • Failure to arrive without notice (no-show) may result in the full booking amount being charged.

4. Reservation Changes

Requests to modify reservation dates are subject to room availability. Lion Guard Guest House will attempt to accommodate reasonable requests made at least 48 hours before arrival.

5. Early Departure

Guests who check out before the confirmed departure date are generally not entitled to refunds for unused nights.

6. Cancellation by Lion Guard Guest House

In rare circumstances where the guest house must cancel a reservation due to unforeseen events, guests will receive either:

  • a full refund of payments made, or
  • alternative accommodation of similar standard where available.

7. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method whenever possible. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.

8. Policy Acknowledgement

Guests making reservations through the website must confirm that they have read and accepted the Refund & Cancellation Policy and Terms & Conditions before completing payment.

9. Data Protection

Personal information collected during booking or refund processing is handled according to our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws including GDPR and POPIA.
